The Costa Dorada is a stretch of coastline located in Catalonia, southwest of Barcelona. It is full of resorts and beaches, famous for its calm and shallow waters, one of the favorite destinations for family vacations and can be visited all year round. Surrounded by wonderful coves, some recommendations of the best:
Cala Forn and Santes
Creus, L’Ametlla de Mar.
Cala Forn, of fine sand, is a fairly wide and square beach, located under the remains of the castle of Sant Jordi d’Alfama. It is accessible by car and has a bar, security service, showers and toilets. The entrance to the sea is not very steep and Santes Creus, located in the city of Tarragona. It is one of the beaches of the settlement of l’Ametlla de Mar.
Fonda Cove or Waikiki Beach, Tamarit
The most spectacular of Tarragona. A paradisiacal beach in every sense of the word. Better known as Waikiki Beach, like the one in Honolulu.
Not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
Cap Roig, L’Ampolla.
This beach is one of the most emblematic of the coast of L’Ampolla, both for the ease of access on foot or by car, fine golden sand that contrasts with the natural environment. The waters are calm and have no outstanding slopes. It has all kinds of services, which makes it an ideal destination for family tourism.
Torn, L’Hospitalet de l’Infant. 
This beach is connected to the Illot, a rock that rises at one end of the beach. From the rock, we can see the remains of the defense towers and beautiful views of the coastline, from the Cap de Salou to the entire Golf de Sant Jordi.
Els Muntanyans, Torredembarra.
It is a natural enclave of great environmental and ecological value that allows the traveler to enjoy a landscape of great beauty. Awarded with the Blue Flag distinction, it is a space that lacks a promenade.
The Costa Brava surprises us with the color of the sea waters. The Costa Brava is the name given to the coastal area of Spain that begins in Blanes and ends at the French border in Portbou. It is bordered to the north by the Costa Bermeja and to the south by the Costa del Maresme.
Outstanding place Lloret de Mar

Santa Cristina, Lloret de Mar.
At the foot of the Ermita de Santa Cristina. Quiet and familiar, with steep rocks and pine trees. Its fine sand and the beauty of the place have made it one of the most popular beaches in Lloret de Mar.
Sa Tuna, Begur
Cala that preserves its old fishermen’s houses, has a small cove on the right side which can be accessed by the coastal path called S’Eixugador, which is a wild and beautifully quiet place.
Sa Conca, Platja
d’Aro
It is a wonderful beach of about 400 m long by 40 m wide, which as its name suggests is a semicircumference. For a great day at the beach with family or friends.
Illa Roja, Begur
The most characteristic feature is its reddish sand and the large mass of stone that rises from the sea in the middle of the cove. Its clear waters make it a perfect place for diving.
Cala Pola, Tossa de Mar
Considered one of the most beautiful coves of Gerona. It is a quiet place, a corner of beach hidden among the curvy stretches that go from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The views from the panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Mediterranean Sea are spectacular.
Sa Cove
Boadella, Lloret de Mar
A natural environment with large areas of lush vegetation that give way to a magnificent cove and is considered one of the best beaches in Lloret de Mar. A perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy the tranquility and silence and even get started in the practice of naturism.
Trons Cove, Lloret de Mar
A precise cove with one of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava. The coast is reached by walking along a path that runs between beautiful cliffs. Its clear waters with green and blue reflections are mesmerizing.
