Exhibition “The other one here” (until March 20)
Valentina Alvarado Matos and Carlos Vásquez Méndez present a project that arises from their personal memory, marked by distance and what they have left behind. This installation reflects on universal memory and its malleable quality, highlighting the displaced but latent memory.
Using the filmic device as a means of expression, the exhibition offers an immersive experience that fuses images, sounds and emotions to create a dialogue between the past and the present. Visitors will be able to contemplate works that address themes such as identity, place and belonging as they explore the space of La Capella.
As a collective, Alvarado Matos and Vásquez Méndez investigate the image around the filmic device. Recently, they have participated in screening programs at Microscope Gallery and Anthology Film Archives. In early 2023 they premiered the performance FFF at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York.

Empremtes Festival (all month long)
The Empremtes festival will be held throughout the month of March. Among the most outstanding performances, the renowned teacher of OT, Manu Guix and the Veterans will open the month on March 1 on the impressive stage of the Casino L’Aliança del Poblenou. On March 16, Carla Collado will perform live at Sala Wolf, followed by Montse Blanco on March 17 at New Fizz.
In addition, on March 9, fans will be able to enjoy the talent of Guillem Roma at La 2 de la Apolo, and on March 15, Nuria Duran will return to New Fizz, thus closing a month full of concerts, which will continue during April.
