Sitges Carnival 2024 Schedule
At Ghat Apartments we share with you the Sitges Carnival program with the schedules and activities that will take place from February 8 to 14:
Thursday, February 8 – First day of Sitges Carnival
- Arrival of His Majesty Carnestoltes I and his entourage – 7.24 p.m. (from La Fragata beach to the Town Hall).
- Xatonada El Retiro – 21.00 hours in the Saló Teatre de la Societat Recreativa El Retiro.
- Xatonada-show at the Casino Prado – 21.30 at the Prado Theater.
- Xatonada Popular Agrupació de Balls Populars de Sitges – 9:30 pm at the Palau del Rei Moro.
Friday, February 9th
- Visit of His Majesty Carnestoltes I and the Carnival Queen to Sitges schools – from 9.00 am.
- Children’s party – 17.00 hours in the gardens of the Societat Recreativa El Retiro.
- Rua d’Antes – 19.30 hours (route: Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Bonaire, Paseo de la Ribera, La Fragata beach, Nou street, Major and Cap de la Vila).
Saturday, February 10
- Visit of His Majesty Carnestoltes I and the Carnival Queen to the residences – from 9.00 a.m. onwards.
- Visit of His Majesty Carnestoltes I and the Carnival Queen to the Municipal Market – 11.00 am.
- Cursa dels llits disfressats (Disguised beds race) – 12:00 (route: Francesc Gumà, Jesús, Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Sant Pau, Paseo de la Ribera, Sant Pere, Parellades, Bonaire and Paseo de la Ribera).
- Fardo Dance – 4:00 p.m. at Paseo de la Ribera.
- Tequereque Party – 17.00 hours (route: Town Hall Square, Mayor, Cap de la Vila, Sant Francesc, Sant Gaudenci, Sant Josep, Bonaire, Joan Tarrida, Plaza Industria, Marquès de Montroig, Parellades and Cap de la Vila).
- Xató Dinner with Carrousel show – 21.00 hours at the Prado Theater.
Sunday, February 11
- Rua Infantil – 12:00 noon. (Route: Avenida Sofia, Paseo de la Ribera, La Fragata beach, Paseo de la Ribera, Bassa Rodona, Pou Vedre square, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila).
- Rua de la Disbauxa – 19.30 hours. (Route: Avenida Sofia, Paseo de la Ribera, La Fragata beach, Paseo de la Ribera, Bassa Rodona, Pou Vedre square, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila).
- Dance and Carnival party Sitges 2024 – from 11pm to 3am at Hort de Can Falç.
Monday, February 12
- Children’s snack and performance of the Children’s Queen – 17.00 hours in Casino Prado.
Tuesday, February 13
- Rua Infantil – 12,000 hours. (route: Avenida Sofia, Paseo de la Ribera, La Fragata beach, Paseo de la Ribera, Bassa Rodona, Pou Vedre square, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila).
- Rua del Extermini – 21.00 hours (route: Avenida Sofia, Paseo de la Ribera, La Fragata beach, Paseo de la Ribera, Bassa Rodona, Plaza del Pou Vedre, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila).
- Dance and Carnival party Sitges 2024 – from 11pm to 3.30am at Hort de Can Falç.
Wednesday, February 14 – Last day of Sitges Carnival
- Coffee, drink and cigar – 4:00 p.m. at La Cantina de El Retiro.
- Farewell to His Majesty Carnestoltes I – 18.00 hours in the gardens of the Societat Recreativa El Retiro.
- Funeral chapel of His Majesty Carnestoltes I – 6.30 p.m. in Casino Prado.
- Burial of His Majesty Carnestoltes I – 19.00 hours. (route: Francesc Gumà, Jesús, Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Bonaire, Paseo de la Ribera up to the Greco monument and Fragata beach).
- Closing ceremony – 9:00 p.m. at Casino Prado.
